  7. Beautiful – simple, elegant, poignant.
May Japan pull through some of their darkest days quickly, swiftly, and soon.
A quick note – the designer (you?) probably is trying to convey the Japanese sentiment of “Ganbare” on your 4th graphic. The Japanese doesn’t make sense, grammatically the way it is currently shown. Just a thought. Thank you for posting these. They are very powerful.

    • Hi these are not my creations… I only wish ! I wanted to share the most beautiful posters supporting Japan I saw this past week. Thanks for stopping by anyway !

      25 March 2011 at 21:30

      • With family in Japan (outside epicenter and outside immediate Fukushima reactor area) and being thousands of miles away, it’s been a roller coaster of emotions. My comment seems so trivial, more a distraction to the deeper and more important issues at hand – so again, thank you for gathering these.

        25 March 2011 at 21:35

    • you’re welcome. Good luck to your family back in Japan.

Simplicity is the best and it really dig onto the heart and bones.
This is just a simple reminder for us people to help and care for our fellow countrymen.
This is the time for change to everyone.

  14. They are beautiful and haunting.

The terrible tragedy in Japan reminds me that our globe is in danger.

Red clay Adam, the archetype of mankind, arose out of a habitable earthen crust, a red sphere in space.

Our biosphere is now under siege; earth, wind and water.

  16. I am inspired by the idea that there are so many variations of one universal message here — and that you’ve collected “the best” shows just how wide-spread the sentiment is. As it should be…

Thank you for sharing. Striking images!

Wow, compelling images, thank you for sharing! They are so simplistic yet they convey emotion perfectly. It is important that as Japan disappears from the headlines, that we do not forget the tragedy that occurred. This is a provocative reminder, thank you!

Thanks for such a great post.
Being a news junkie all I have heard in the past days regarding Japan is the nuclear thing. The nuclear thing has been poorly reported on so many levels. So much bad information to the point that people in the states are freaking out over it. I even heard FOX and CNN reporting nuclear explosions! There have been only two nuclear explosions in Japan, both were in 1945. What I have not heard enough of is the survivors story. What about them? The media is too focused on ratings. We all need to here about the Japanese survivors.
    Congrats on FP. Well done!

    26 March 2011 at 00:59

    • It’s the damn Oil companies using this opportunity to drum up as much anti-nuclear propaganda as they can.

I, for one, support nuclear power as a source of energy and admire the Japanese engineers for having designed plants that could take all this as well as they did.
